Anybody who believes they have a claim against any company that is potentially insolvent may want to consider seeking legal advice.
To make things easier for people to represent themselves, the UK Government publishes many of the forms and procedures online. In particular, people who want to be notified about the progress of the insolvency can read this page for information about the form to submit.

After you complete the form, you need to send one copy to the lead petitioner and you can send a copy directly to the court using their online filing system or by email using the contact details here.

Instead of sending it by email, you can also register for an online court filing account here.
Here are the steps:
- Create an account
- Log in
- Click "Create Filing"
- In the "Court" pull-down menu, select "Insolvency & Company List (ChD)"
- Filing Category: "Existing Case"
- Case Number: CR-XXXX-XXXXXX
- Filing Subtype: 4.9 Notice of intention to appear on petition
- Click "Next"
- Upload the form comp-4-eng.doc with your details and signature on it
- Click "Next"
- Click "Add To Basket"
- The basket appears with a charge of £0.00 for filing the form.
- Click "Submit Filings"
