Various blogs have referred to an email predicting the death of Abraham Raji. The email was published for the first time in the Ars Technica forum and then the whole thread was locked and deleted.
The email is real. I made some inquiries with various coroners who handled previous Debian-related deaths. I wrote back to the Cambridgeshire Coroner's office on 9 September 2023, the first day of DebConf23. I predicted there was a higher risk in this group and three days later Abraham Raji died on the DebConf day trip.
Why doesn't Ars Technica want anybody to see this email? Quite simply, the email proves once again that I was right about the toxic culture.
Subject: Re: Inquest Christopher Rutter - Information Request Date: Sat, 9 Sep 2023 18:59:26 +0200 From: Daniel Pocock <daniel@pocock.pro> To: Coroners <Coroners@cambridgeshire.gov.uk> Hi [redacted], I've updated the document with some extra email evidence and two more deaths, both of those being under management from a doctoral candidate at Cambridge. Based on my own experience of both Debian culture, the Pell situation and the evidence in these emails, I feel that there is an ongoing risk to the health of people who engage with this culture. Please kindly confirm if the coroner can escalate this to the relevant people or whether you need somebody to present the document in person. Regards, Daniel
The key emails from various web sites, including the suicide discussions, have been placed in a single document that can be forwarded to the relevant police or coroner each time a new victim dies in similar circumstances.
Employers and families are totally unaware of what some people are doing in the debian-private (leaked) conflict zone. The brother of Frans Pop told me that Debianists came to the funeral but they kept him in the dark. Not any more.
Ars Technica moderators suggested the conversation with the coroner could be spam.
It is a creepy coincidence that earlier in the same year, I had been talking to the Carabinieri about the tactics used to silence victims of blackmail and abuse. We were having the conversation in the very same hour that Cardinal George Pell was having his surgery. He died the same day. Pell's name was mentioned again to the Cambridgeshire coroner and Abraham Raji died.

Don't forget that this latest discussion only came up after we realized that my former Outreachy intern had predicted the circumstances involved in the death of Lilie James.
